Exit Passes

I designed and built a solution for Corporate Security that manages the full exit pass process. It operates across 12 hotels, has handled more than 1,500 successful passes to date, and reduced the rejection rate from 15% to 1%.

Context

Corporate Security managed exit passes through a legacy system with loosely defined controls, printed forms, signatures, copies, and extensive files of paperwork. The solution was built around its operational needs.

Problem

Documents were lost and requests were rejected because of incorrect signatures or stamps. The process depended on paper forms and copies, with controls that did not clearly cover the entire pass lifecycle.

My contribution

I designed and built the solution based on Corporate Security's needs. I worked with the operations team at one hotel on the pilot and participated in the migration from Lovable to production.

Approach

The solution covers pass issuance, release, execution of the exit, execution of the entry, return, and closure. It records traceability logs and dates, and generates notifications and automated reports.

Results and evidence

It operates across 12 hotels and has handled more than 1,500 successful passes to date. The rejection rate fell from 15% to 1%, and the complete process takes four minutes on average.

Process results; more than 1,500 successful passes across 12 hotels, a reduction in rejections from 15% to 1%, and an average of four minutes per complete process.

Learning

Designing around the full operational lifecycle brings control and traceability to the process.
